- "Platform"means the Raised website, services, and related applications
- "Campaign"means a fundraising initiative created on our Platform
- "Donor"means any person who makes a donation through our Platform
- "Organiser"means any person or organisation that creates a Campaign
3. Legal Compliance
Our Platform operates in accordance with New Zealand law, including:
- Charities Act 2005
- Fair Trading Act 1986
- Consumer Guarantees Act 1993
- Privacy Act 2020
- Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009
4. User Obligations
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information
- Maintain the security of your account
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Not engage in fraudulent or misleading activities
- Not use the Platform for any illegal purposes
5. Fundraising Terms
Campaign Organisers must:
- Have legal authority to create and manage campaigns
- Provide accurate campaign information
- Use donations as described in the campaign
- Comply with tax and charitable regulations
- Maintain proper records of donations and their use
6. Fees and Payments
We charge fees for using our Platform. These fees are clearly displayed before any transaction is completed. All payments are processed securely through our payment providers.
7. Donor Protection
We protect donors by:
- Verifying Campaign Organisers
- Monitoring suspicious activity
- Providing refunds in cases of fraud
- Ensuring transparent fee structures
- Maintaining secure payment processing
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, unless user-generated, is owned by Raised. Users retain ownership of their content but grant us a license to use it for Platform purposes.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we limit our liability for any losses or damages arising from your use of the Platform. This includes indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
10. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes will be resolved according to New Zealand law. We encourage users to contact us first to resolve any issues amicably.
11. Termination
