Recording Cash and Offline Payments
Money you collect in person does not appear on your campaign automatically. You add it yourself as a manual order, and it then counts towards your total like any other order.
Adding a manual order
Open your fundraiser, go to the orders page, and click Add manual order. Enter the items and the amount, and save.
The order appears alongside your online orders and its value is added to the campaign total.
Recording a lump sum
Sometimes there is no neat list of items. You ran a stall, banked $250.00 in cash, and want the campaign to reflect it.
Create a manual order whose contents total the amount you want to add. The campaign total goes up by that amount. You do not need to reconstruct exactly what each person bought.
If the takings do not map cleanly onto your catalogue items, one line covering the full amount is fine. The goal is an accurate total, not an accurate inventory.
Why it says "late order"
If your campaign has already closed, the button is labelled Add late order instead. It does the same thing. The wording is telling you the campaign end date has passed, not that anything is wrong.
Marking a bank transfer as paid
Bank transfer orders come in unpaid. Once the money has actually arrived in your account, open the order and click Modify next to the payment status, then set it to paid.
Check your bank first. Marking an order paid does not move any money, it only records that you have received it.
There is a step by step version in How to Mark a Bank Transfer as Paid.
Product fundraisers only
Cash and bank transfer are available on product fundraisers. Crowdfunding campaigns take card payments only, so there is no offline order to record. See Which Payment Methods You Can Offer.
